Hello Utila! I came to the island around August last year. Turnt up after a very wet ferry ride, dived in the pool with a cocktail..and that was it I had decided to learn to scuba dive! You were the best, a great team and course. It was an amazing and exhasuting two days! Thankyou! One day hopefully i can come back for more, and make a trip to the islands bakery too!

Although this posting is about 5 months late, I just wanted to say thanks so much to all the staff at Utila water sports! You guys are amazing! Super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and lots of fun! I had a great time getting my open water certification, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay on Utila. Hope to return someday!

The first time I went to Utila was in 2000. I found Utila Water Sports and it was the perfect Dive shop. I came to snorkle but I ended up doing my open water, open water advance and rescue coarse. I had such a great time I was back in 2003 to do my dive master coarse. So much fun! Since then I have dove all around the world but Utila and Utila Water Sports is where it all started. Hooray! I am now a certified open water diver, thanks to the friendly folks of Utila Water Sports. They took me in, as a scared little boy who had dreams of underwater exploration, and turned me into the mighty compressed air breathing man I am today! I like that UWS is a local owned business, and the shop has a real family feel to it. A Big shout out to Kim, whose patient and gentle instruction was just what I needed! I look forward to scuba diving the kelp forests of my beloved Catalina island. All Utila Water Sports staff are invited!

We just returned from 11 days on Utila. we chose UWS from among the shops and were very glad that we did. Their equipment was excellent, their boats great, Captain Kerry was wonderful. Best of all, every staff member we met and worked with (on over 30 dives) was top notch professional and very friendly. This was especially important for us since our kids (ages 14 & 15) are new to diving, and we felt very confident under the watchful eye of their wonderful divemasters. We were led on different dives by Toby, Etienne, Ellie, Martin, and Kiara: all of them provided clear briefings and instructions, route finding, safety stops as well as pointing out critters of particular note. Captain Kerry got us into dolphins and whale sharks on our first trip out, even though it was December, not prime whale shark season. We had a wonderful time with the staff, Samantha the friendly dog and Polly the parrot. When we return to Utila (someday, hopefully) we will not hesitate to return to UWS. Kate runs a good ship!

Two friends and I spent a week vacationing and learning how to dive with Utila Water Sports. We had an awesome time and didn´t want to leave when it was over. Hopefully we will be back soon to do some more diving!

Utila Water Sports, best little dive shop in the world. From the first day of my Advanced course, 2 years ago, I knew it was going to be a challenge. My instructor definitely challenged me and I learned a lot. My dive experiences have been so much better because of everything I know. But it doesn’t stop there. The management along with the dive instructor’s/master’s really make you feel like you are diving with friends. I will continue to go back for many more years.
