This lively island-style nightclub opens its doors on Friday nights (Wednesday nights, too, in high season) from 9 p.m. until the wee hours.  Happy hour lasts until 11. Locals and tourists mingle on the dance floor, groovin' to a range of music, including the occasional deejayed set. Nominal cover charge for guys.

Tranquila Bar:

Located on main street adjacent to Coco Loco. Tranquila's motto - emblazoned on all its signs - encourages its patrons to "chill out" and with its serene waterfront location, cozy driftwood lounge and tantalizing menu of tropical cocktails, chilling out was never so easy. Unique for its full bar, tasty bar snacks and grill menu, Tranquila adds a touch of class to island life.

Treetanic Bar:

Located on Cola de Mico road beside the Jade Seahorse restaurant. Built in a tree and shaped like a boat - hence the name - this unique bar promises a trip from the ordinary. Perch yourself on the bow, overlooking the fantastical grounds of Jade Seahorse and Nightland Cabins, and enjoy a peaceful evening among the treetops.

The Pirate Bar:

Located on Chepes Beach, this giant champa-style bar replete with wild orchids is the perfect place for an afternoon drink at the beach. Often featuring live music, this mellow spot provides a great alternative to some of the more raucous bars in town.
