Rescue Course and EFR

Why take the PADI Rescue Diver

Rewarding and fun, this course vastly will expand your knowledge and experience.  Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.

The Rescue Diver course is both a challenging and rewarding option for the Advanced diver. It prepares you not only to manage dive accidents, but also to anticipate problems and prevent dive emergencies.  It improves your skills and confidence as a diver and enables you to move on to the Master Scuba Diver and Divemaster levels. The course consists of self study with the support of videos and manuals, instructor-led classroom sessions, confined water training and open-water scenarios.  It generally takes three days to complete the course.

What is EFR?

Emergency First Response (EFR) is the fastest-growing international CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training organization.

Many divers take the Emergency First Response course to meet program prerequisites, such as for PADI Rescue Diver / SSI Stress & Rescue, or as preparation for becoming a PADI Divemaster / SSI DiveCon. However, most have also found the EFR program to be relevant in everyday life.
